Sabian's 18-inch FRX Crash is a cymbal designed to cut out specific frequencies that make it sound quieter than it really is. Unlike low volume cymbals, this one produces a normal volume, it just doesn't sound so loud. This makes these cymbals ideal when playing smaller-sized gigs where the entire band is not playing at full volume.

Sabian FRX 18-inch Crash

This crash cymbal is made of B20 alloy which is primarily a combination of copper and tin with traces of silver. The metals are melted together and then poured into a mould and left to cool. They then go through a hammering process that is done by a special machine followed by another machine-based process that creates the holes around the bell. The machines are all expertly operated by hand to ensure optimal quality. Each cymbal is then hand-tested and hand-weighted too. They are then left to age before once again being hand-tested to ensure that they match the exacting standards required by Sabian before being made available for purchase.
